Each player is responsible for their own gear (helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, mouth-piece, and stick). We have provided links to local retailers and some online lacrosse equipment retailers for your convenience. Most offer starter sets that cover the required gear. Many parents have also found great deals on used gear on Ebay and CraigsList. When is your regular season? Lacrosse is traditionally a Spring sport. Our Spring game schedule runs from March through the end of May. However, with the tremendous growth of the sport in Southern California there are clinics, leagues, and camps all year long. Make sure you sign up for our newsletter to stay informed. Are your coaches experienced? All of our head coaches have either been through the formal training sponsored by US Lacrosse or have similar on-field experience at the collegiate level. Where can I find more information about the sport of lacrosse? We have uploaded a great video sponsored by US Lacrosse that provides an overview of the history of the game, the growth of the sport, and the thrills you will experience as a player or spectator. What local high school teams play lacrosse? Currently two high schools in SW Riverside County (Great Oak and Chaparral) have CIF sanctioned programs. We anticipate that many more high schools in the region will be adding programs soon as the demand for the sport is increasing dramatically. What is the Cost? Each season, clinic, or tournament will carry a participation cost. Please click on the links for any open registrations to see the cost for that particular event. Why do I have to join US Lacrosse to play? Your active US Lacrosse number provides the insurance we need to allow your child to participate. The annual $25 membership not only provides our insurance coverage, but is also a requirement for other tournaments or camps you might choose to participate in. Once registered your child will be automatically subscribed to Lacrosse magazine. If you have any additional questions, please contact us. |
